This is THE place on the West Coast for Shopsmith repair or restoration. Jeff (aka California Sawdust Man) is a retired automotive tech, and he has the expertise and equipment (metal lathe, milling machine, etc.) to do the job right. He also sells reconditioned Shopsmith parts and reconditioned machines and accessories. His reconditioned stuff is bead blasted, repainted, and restored to "good-as-new" condition. If you don't live in California you can send him your headstock or special purpose tool and he'll repair it and send it back. Jeff does an incredible job of packing the headstock that makes it almost impossible for the shipper to damage it.
